Reading Village founder to speak at TedxPearlStreet in Boulder, Colorado

Linda Smith, the founder of Reading Village will be doing a presentation at the Boulder TEDxPearlStreet on March 21st. Reading Village is a Boulder-based non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of youth in impoverished Guatemala by building a foundation of literacy.

Linda Smith has worked passionately since 2006 to inspire independence and education in some of the poorest regions of Central America. Her group has created a bi-annual trip for ten travelers to rural Guatemala. The eight-day trip, called a Learning Journey, is a guided tour of the spectacular scenery in rural Guatemala and brings travelers in contact with students and volunteers who work in the Reading Village program.

The upcoming TedxPearlStreet presentation is a great opportunity to learn more about Reading Village and the impact the group is having in Guatemala and here in Boulder, Colorado.

TEDxPearlStreet 2013 will be held at 6:00 pm on March 21st, 2013 at Humanities 150 on the University of Colorado at Boulder campus. Attendance is limited to 100 tickets.
