Reading Takes You Away

Cold afternoon, lazy day. What better way to relax then to become embroiled in a take you away, fingernail biter, jump when someone comes in the door book. Reading a good book engages your mind and helps you relax from the stresses of everyday life.

Find a corner, wrap up in a fluffy robe or a warm blanket, curl up in a comfortable chair and let your mind roam. You can read a book, magazine, graphic novel, and TV guide. You can use your Kindle or IPad. Take a trip into another universe, lose yourself in a love story or ramp up the action and get your adrenalin flowing with an action, thriller, mystery or horror story.

One such book is Murder by Moonlight by Vincent Zandri. It tells the story of a suburb, quiet on the outside, sinister on the inside. A normal family is suddenly destroyed by an axe-welding monster that attacks the parents, Joan and Peter Parker, in the dead of night. Barely alive Peter writes a check to his son, Christopher, and then dies. Joan lives, a nasty scar down the side of her face as a reminder of the horrible crime. She initially identifies her son as the murderer, and then recants her accusation.

Christopher appears to be a nice, boy, but appearances are not always what they seem. Who did this crime? Why did they do it? And what is really going on behind the closed doors of this quiet neighborhood. For a look at a trailer for the book go to http://studios.amazon.com/projects/16983#player/32368, trailer 81.
