This Tuesday, before school starts, come to Terhune Orchards with your children (preschool to eight years) on August 26. There are two Read & Pick programs, at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Each child will have a chance to learn about the history of apples, as they are read a story about them and Johnny Appleseed. Parents and their young children will celebrate the origin of this delicious fruit that goes very well in a child’s or a grownup’s lunchbox.
The cost for each child is $7, and will include a small container, where each child will pick their own apples, which is included in the price. Pre-registration is requested for this event.
