Read across America with Dr. Seuss (Photos)

Kids, grab mom and dad for a step back in time as Dr. Seuss returns to celebrate his birthday this weekend. The Louisville Main Library is pleased to take part in the 16th annual Read Across America Day designated by the National Education Association. The Library will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Seuss with a Family Pajama Party on Friday, March 1, 2013. Come enjoy this free, family event as the Squallis Puppeteers perform. Take photos, eat snacks, play games and listen to your favorite stories. Help promote reading in a fun way. Over 900 Dr. Seuss books will be available to check-out tomorrow night with funds paid by the Library Foundation. The party begins at 6 p.m.; and don’t forget to wear your pajamas!

When you’re finished reading The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, or whatever you’re favorite Dr. Seuss book may be, here are some other things to do this weekend.
