This week is Read Across America Week! Today the focus is on books for preschoolers.
All week I'm featuring books that are of particular interest to young readers from babies through preschoolers. They're all special in some way and go above just a pretty book or great story.
In most cases, children in the preschooler age group will also love the choices in the "books for 2-3 year olds" category as well. (Click the titles to find out more about each book.)
Books for preschoolers
- The 1st Adventure of Incredible You (This book is custom made for each child.)
- Sadie Can Count (A book that is also in braille)
- Duck! Rabbit! (Encourages kids to use their imagination and relook at what they see)
- Nana Star (Book has a CD to play as kids "read" along)
- Llama Llama Misses Mama (Book about starting preschool, though not multi-sensory it can start a good discussion and get little ones ready for school)
- One Night In Frog Town (Book has CD to play as kids "read" along)
- Thumbuddy To Love (Book and puppet that encourages kids to stop the thumb sucking)
