When was the last time you read a book to your children? We now live with so much technology around us that we forgot the old fashion activities of the past. Kids too are caught up and surrounded by technology that they can have an iPad read a book aloud to them.
You and your children need to put down the electronic devices and read a book. Ask your children if there is a favorite book that you could read aloud to them. Gather the children around you after they select the books they want you to read. Read the book with emotions of the story line and ask them questions about the story as you read it to get them involved too. Warning reading aloud could become habit forming. Well a good habit to create family bonding that we lose with all the technology we all are surrounded by in our daily lives.
I'm all for technology and all the benefits it offers, but we need to disconnect from it at times to participate in human social activities.
