Reach for the stars in life and business

I’ve been posting some of Bill Gluth’s (www.billgluth.com) marketing wisdom since 2010 and he still resonates with followers of my columns because his is a common sense approach to helping businesses succeed. One thing has changed about Gluth. I used to refer to him as a Surprise, Arizona based marketing expert. He’s even more of an expert several years later, but he is now a Sedona, Arizona based marketing expert.

In a recent blog article, Gluth spoke of being as powerful as one can be; achieving and eclipsing their goals and people so committed to their mission they can achieve their goals without fail. Then he proceeds to tell those people where they should focus their efforts and attention so they maximize productivity and as a consequence they are more successful.

Gluth speaks honestly about working in the moment. “When is the moment? It is right now,” states Gluth. “It is every moment you breathe and every thought you embrace, as you embrace it.” If you don’t act on a productive thought, it vanishes.

Gluth warns about going about business in a lazy sort of way. Do not, he warns, think that one day you will start something and that someday your business and life will be on the track you want it to be. If you think and act like this, you will likely not achieve the success you would like or fail all together.

Do not think reactively or worry too much because you will not be able to accomplish your goals, Gluth correctly notes. He says think this way, “I am living in the moment in every moment I live.”

Next, Gluth says write down what you really want out of life and do it right at this moment. “Then focus on this every instant and create an action step that will get you there,” he says. “Repeat tomorrow and every day thereafter.”

You will find, the marketing adviser states, tiny steps focusing on the moment is the shortest step to realizing your dreams, desires and goals.
