RE6 update released

The second free update to Resident Evil 6 went live this morning. When turning on the game, players can expect a 4MB update. The change log describes the update as follows:

*Added session search functionality to Agent Hunt.

You can now search by stage or difficulty.

*Added a stage select feature following the chapter select.

*Added a feature to automatically activate certain action buttons.

This feature can be turned on in the options under game settings.

Per the update, players can now find a way to play with their friends without relying on a completely random matching system. The Agent Hunt search criteria include:

Campaign Select

Skill Select

Matching

Location Settings

Objective Settings

Attack Reaction

Infinite Ammo

This mode is also now available to players without having completed the game.

Chapter selection now works as it did in RE4 and RE5, so chapters are no long 1-2 hours long.

QTEs can now be more or less skipped, with no penalty for failing most of them.

Difficulty adjustments to certain areas in the game based on player feedback was also stated to be included with this update, but was not listed in the in-game change log. Players may get a notice saying their downloadable content has been corrupted after the update is installed, but so far it seems that rebooting the game will fix this issue.
