Razzie Award winners!

As expected, I was way off when if came to nomination predictions.  I made my choices and I stand by them.  The actual winners are in BOLD while my choices are in ITALICS.

Worst Picture:

  • All About Steve

  • G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

  • Land of the Lost

  • Old Dogs

  • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Still don't understand how I missed this one.  Transformers was one of my favorites from last year, while Land of the Lost just failed all together.

Worst Actor:

  • Will Ferrell in Land of the Lost

  • The Jonas Brothers in Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience

  • Steve Martin in The Pink Panther 2

  • Eddie Murphy in Imagine That

  • John Travolta in Old Dogs

It's really good to see I got this one right.  Seems to give me a sense of hope that the Jonas Brothers are getting the kind of respect they deserve.

Worst Actress:

  • Beyoncé in Obsessed

  • Sandra Bullock in All About Steve

  • Miley Cyrus in Hannah Montana: The Movie

  • Megan Fox in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Jennifer's Body

  • Sarah Jessica Parker in Did You Hear About The Morgans?

The best part about Sandra Bullock winning is that she was actually there to accept the award.  She showed up and gave out copies of her DVD.  She also accepted the Worst Screen Couple.

Worst Supporting Actor:

  • Billy Ray Cyrus in Hannah Montana: The Movie

  • Hugh Hefner in Miss March

  • Robert Pattinson The Twilight Saga: New Moon

  • Jorma Taccone in Land of the Lost

  • Marlon Wayans in G. I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

I wasn't happy with this.  I mean, yeah Billy Ray was rather horrible in this film, but ROBERT PATTINSON!

Worst Supporting Actress:

Candice Bergen in Bride Wars

  • Ali Larter in Obsessed

  • Sienna Miller in G. I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

  • Kelly Preston in Old Dogs

  • Julie White in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Come on!  Sure, G. I. Joe is horrible, but OBSESSED is terrible and sucks.

Worst Screen Couple:

  • Any two of the Jonas Brothers in Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience

  • Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper in All About Steve

  • Will Ferrell and any co-star, creature or "comic riff" in Land of the Lost

  • Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

  • Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner or Robert Pattinson in The Twilight Saga: New Moon

This wasn't really a bad decision as All About Steve was terrible, but the JONAS BROTHERS really fail.  I'm shocked New Moon didn't get this one either which shows me there is very little justice in the world.

Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel:

  • G. I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

  • Land of the Lost

  • The Pink Panther 2

  • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

  • The Twilight Saga: New Moon

This was a given.  I mean, really.  Will Ferrel just failed last year in films.  Hopefully he'll make a comeback sometime, though I highly doubt that's possible at the moment.

Worst Director:

  • Michael Bay for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

  • Walter Becker for Old Dogs

  • Brad Silberling for Land of the Lost

  • Stephen Summers for G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra

  • Phil Traill for All About Steve

Someone PLEASE explain to me why Transformers got so much grief despite being a great film.  True, it wasn't as amazing as the original, but it wasn't horrible.  But for some reason the film just can't get a break.  Land of the Lost deserved this so much more.

Worst Screenplay:

  • Kim Baker for All About Steve

  • Stuart Beattie and David Elliot & Paul Lovett for G. I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

  • Chris Henchy & Dennis McNicholas for Land of the Lost

  • Ehren Kruger & Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

  • Melissa Rosenberg for The Twilight Sage: New Moon

AGAIN with Transformers.  Like I stated in my nominations article, it takes a great deal of skill to turn a good TV show into a crappy film.  Transformers wasn't very original, but still good.

Along with the usual awards listed above, below we have the world films of the decade. The 2000s have been horrible to film, no doubt about that, but these choices are nearly impossible to make.

Worst Actor of the Decade

  • Ben Affleck for Daredevil, Gigli, Jersey Girl, Paycheck, Pearl Harbor and Surviving Christmas

  • Eddie Murphy for The Adventures of Pluto Nash, I Spy, Imagine That, Meet Dave, Norbit and Showtime

  • Mike Myers for The Cat in the Hat and The Love Guru

  • Rob Schneider for The Animal, The Benchwarmers, Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo, Grandma's Boy, The Hot Chick, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Little Man and Little Nicky

  • John Travolta for Battlefield Earth, Domestic Disturbance, Lucky Numbers, Old Dogs and Swordfish

I had a bittersweet feeling over this decision.  I can't stand Rob Schneider and can't believe he is still making movies.  Then again, it does give many aspiring actors out there hope.  If Schneider can get work, they can too!

My second choice for this was Eddie Murphy, which is why I don't know what to think of this.  The decision wasn't really terrible, but I would've preferred Schneider.

Worst Actress of the Decade

  • Mariah Carey for Glitter

  • Paris Hilton for The Hottie and the Nottie, House of Wax and Repo! The Genetic Opera

  • Lindsay Lohan for Herbie: Fully Loaded, I Know Who Killed Me and Just My Luck

  • Jennifer Lopez for Angel Eyes, Enough, Gigli, Jersey Girl, Maid in Manhattan, Monster-in-Law and The Wedding Planner

  • Madonna for Die Another Day, The Next Best Thing and Swept Away

THIS was stupid.  I don't like Paris Hilton.  Never have, never will.  Even with that in mind, how can she win Worst Actress instead of Lindsay Lohan?  I mean, Lindsay Lohan and Box Office Bomb are synonymous with each other, whereas Paris Hilton and Slut are synonymous.  Guess you can't win them all, even if you're Lindsay Lohan.

Worst Picture of the Decade

  • Battlefield Earth

  • Freddy Got Fingered

  • Gigli

  • I Know Who Killed Me

  • Swept Away

THIS made me mad.  Come on.  Battlefield Earth is terrible.  I have it and have days where I'm depressed and just wanna watch it because it makes me feel better about my life.  I see it and I think "Boy.  That could have ruined my career."

But Freddy Got Fingered is a new level of pathetic.  It came with a set of 300 DVDs I got for $75 and it was one of five films I threw away because of how horrible they were.  I DID watch them all first, but was so appalled by Freddy I was more than happy to throw it away.

As you can see, I disagree with most of the choices here, ESPECIALLY with all the awards Transformers won.
