Early Tuesday morning, Felton turned himself into police and was charged with two felony weapons counts for having an unregistered gun.

According to reports, Raymond Felton waved his gun around to intimidate his wife during arguments over cheating. Ariane Raymondo-Felton, who filed for divorce recently, turned the gun into police via her lawyer.

Whether or not it’s true, the story sounds awfully convenient. Now that she filed for divorce, Ariane decided it was time to either stick it to Raymond Felton, or she could have really feared for her life.

According to law enforcement, the weapon wasn’t a meek one. “It’s a bad-ass gun,” a law-enforcement source told The Post of Felton’s Belgian-made FNH Five-Seven 28mm handgun. Apparently, Felton legally bought the gun in North Carolina, but brought his gun with him to New York.

The trouble is that he never received a permit here, and the magazine carried 11 more bullets than legally permitted in New York.

Even with the legal trouble, Felton is expected to practice with the Knicks and travel to Miami for their game with the Heat on Thursday.
