In a press conference this morning, the New Haven police stated that they arrested Raymond Clark III, 24 in the murder of Annie Le. Annie Le was found in a wall in a building on Sunday in the basement where she worked. Raymond Clark was arrested at 8:10 am EST and his bail is set at $3 million. The police waited for the arrest warrant to be signed this morning, as they waited outside Clark's residence.
The police stated that all of the different police agencies worked together very smoothly in this case. They stated that this was a situation of work place violence, not domestic violence and not Yale university violence. The arrest warrant was sealed by the court and details of that cannot be released. MySpace photo.
Raymond Clark III is not a Yale student, but is an employee. The police stated that they have been watching him since Annie Le disappeared, and that he has been a suspect the entire time. Raymond Clark III has a girlfriend and a dog and that is about all they know about him personally.
Annie Le disappeared just 5 days before her wedding and her body was found Sunday.
Raymond Clark III has cooperated up until this point, but this morning he envoked his attorney rights and he will not be questionned this morning.
UPDATE: 10:00 am EST - CNN Live released information that New Haven police are trying to get Raymond Clark in before a judge this morning. They also stated that the police mentioned that the relationship between Annie Le and Raymond Clark was not romantic in anyway, but a "work place violence" situation.
