So I wake up this morning and there is a link in my email and what do I see? A song from Ray J ft. Bobby Brackins called “Hit it First.” Some are saying this track leaked while others say it was purposely put out. Prior to this song coming up I heard rumors about this possible song and that Ray J was just doing it for attention. Then it comes out. How do I feel about it? Ehh

Currently Kim Kardashian is in a highly publicized relationship with Kanye West and they are expecting a child together. Her relationship with Ray J started in the early 2000's and in February 2007 while Ray J's career was at a highpoint, a sex tape was leaked featuring Ray J and Kim Kardashian. Afterwards Ray J released a song “Sexy Can I” ft Yung Berg where he references the sex tape with Kim. The sex tape to this day is still the most popular sex tape to ever come out and the spark of Kim Kardashian's successful career.
In listening to"Hit it First" its classic Ray J. When I first heard it I thought I was in a time warp to 2003. It sounded like some old school B2K or Marques Houston track. Despite that it also brought back memories of that era and the quality of music at that time and I must say the song wasn't bad. The song referenced Kim Kardashian and Ray J's relationship and how he “hit it first” how he “put her own” and also sent subliminal messages to Reggie Bush, Kris Humphries, and soon to be baby father Kanye West. The song is upbeat and he just sings about how he is responsible for everything Kim has now. The second verse was a rapper named Bobby Brackins. Who is Bobby you might ask? I don't know and don't really care. What does Bobby have to do with Kim? Who knows.... All I know is the more I listen to this song the more I like it. This song will be a hit and probably have a video as well.
There will be a great deal of people saying Ray J is doing this for attention and he is just trying to capitalize off of Kim Kardashian's success but let me remind you who did it first. If it wasn't for Ray J Kim would not be in the position she is today and at this moment Ray J is trying to become relevant again and put out more music. So it just makes sense!!!!!!!! Some will say its distasteful because she is pregnant with Kanye's baby. Well allegedly she married Kris Humphries for publicity so all is fair in the entertainment industry. This song leaves a question to be answered. Will Kanye West respond to Ray J? Will there be a diss song towards Ray J? Will there be animosity when they see each other? I know for a fact Kanye will respond and I am sure a few artist at Kanye's label G.O.O.D music will have something to say about the situation. Kanye can't get too mad though, he put on the cape and knew what he was getting into........................
