The tests ahead of the Philadelphia Flyers don’t get any easier tonight as they are in St. Louis facing off against the Blues at the Scottrade Center.
The Flyers were able grab a victory from the Western Conference-leading Blues on March 22nd at the Wells Fargo Center. The first star of the game was goaltender Steve Mason who stopped 32 of 33 shots fired his way en route to a 4-1 Flyers win.
However, despite Mason’s strong game against St. Louis, he will get the night off to rest before a crucial division game Thursday against the Blue Jackets. Ray Emery gets the start for the Flyers tonight in his first start since last Monday against the Los Angeles Kings in which he allowed three goals on 41 shots in the 3-2 loss.
Overall this season, the 31-year-old goaltender is 8-10-1 with a 2.96 GAA, a .901 SV% and one shutout. Emery is 3-1-0 with a 2.37 GAA and a .914 SV% in six career games against St. Louis.
Puck drop at the Scottrade Center is at 8:00 pm.
