“Viagra “was by far the strangest episode of “Ray Donovan” this season.

It was also filled with entertaining moments. Ray sets up Cochran via video, as Volcheck and Cochran swap their wives for sex. Simply put, the episode lived up to its name. What made this episode fun to watch, were the situations that several characters were put in. From the start you discover how weird and sadistic Agent Cochran is and Ray continues to deal with problems of his own.

From the first scene of the episode, Ray wants to set up Cochran and in order to do so he uses Lena as a diversion for Volcheck and convinces him to have sex with Cochran’s wife while on video. As funny as it sounds, Volcheck calls Cochrans wife and tells her he wants to have sex with her. Terry gets back with Frances and makes a drastic decision to sell the gym and move to Ireland with her. The problem is that this could put a major dent into Ray’s finances. This season has proven that Ray deals with a pile of problems that continue to pile up and they just get bigger and bigger.

The funniest part of this episode was with Bunchy. Obviously nervous on his first date, Potato Pie gives Bunchy Viagra. When Bunchy was at his girlfriend Patty’s house, he takes the Viagra pill, but suddenly gets interrupted by her son, who headed back home from a sleepover because he wet the bed. Talk about bad luck. What made this scene overtly hilarious is that it could’ve only happened to Bunchy. Although you feel sorry for him at times, you can’t help but to laugh at him because he is so gullible.

There is not much of Mickey in this episode, but when he is on screen, you can’t help but laugh. He and his neighbor are absolutely brilliant together as they discuss a potential heist that would take place as a movie idea. Mickey also seems to be back in the movie business. His past experience as a drug dealer, not to mention friend of Sully Sullivan, are the hot topics that make for great cinema.

“Viagra” did not explode in the action department, but it made for an episode filled with entertainment and laughs. As the season winds down, there is potential havoc that can be brought upon several characters. Ray might be in financial trouble as well as marital. Abby has found a new companion in Detective Jim Hollran. Finally, Ray lets a past problem back into his life that could cause for bigger problems in the future.
