On Monday January 14th, WWE RAW held their 20th anniversary episode live from Houston, Texas. The WWE had spent the last few weeks really hyping up this show. Unfortunately, it was a major let down to yours truly and the majority of the WWE Universe.
The show had some highlights like the steel cage match between Cena and Ziggler, The Rock's concert, Ric Flair's interview and Mick Foley being announced as an inductee into the 2013 WWE HOF. However, the rest of the show felt like just another episode of RAW.
The following is some feedback I received from WWE fans -
Chris from New York - "This show was absolutely terrible. Not worth the hype."
Dave from Florida - "It's sad to see how far RAW has fallen over the last 20 years".
I have dozens of messages that echo these two comments. It is sad to see how RAW has declined over the years. What was once the number one show in wrestling, has become a parody of its former self. The effort from the wrestlers is still commendable, but most of the storylines are a waste of time and lack any real creativity.
According to WWE.com, here are the results of Monday's episode:
