Generally speaking, we get about twice as much great stuff as I have time to get around to in a given day, so some really fantastic stuff falls out of the inbox and gets lost in the shuffle.  Sometimes the very best stuff gets tucked away to get to later, because feature pages take a lot of effort -- especially the really good ones -- and later never comes.

And, of course, there is likely to be some bogus stuff here, along with some fraudulent stuff, that we've not had the time to sift through yet.

The Dyson Air Multiplier fan is the latest invention to come from Sir James Dyson, father of the Dyson vacuum cleaner series and the Dyson Airblade hand dryer. Air Multiplier is a 'bladeless' fan that provides a smooth airflow and that induces air circulation in the surrounding air, getting a greater effect of air movement.

• Hydrogen Generation Technologies - This company is located in Dallas TX, was establishished in 2007. It is the maker of the H2-Hydro-Gen an Automotive Hydrogen Generator and Delivery System. With it's Multi-Tube-Electrode design it offers a high Hydrogen production at lower amps than any other device on the market.

For centuries the Dutch have been plagued by flooding, throughout history the Dutch have been in a constant battle against the sea. In the 9th century the history of Dutch water management started. Throughout al these centuries the Dutch have gained a reputation as a country that won the war against water, rescuing large parts of land from the grasp of the sea.

The current Dutch thought however is to convert their battle against the sea into working and living together with the sea. This changed vision demands for the further development of a different kind of knowledge.

A new Dutch company called Blue Motion Energy has taken on this challenge and came up with a innovative system to generate energy from currents that are under the influence of ebb and flood.
During the day the current turns around two times 360 degrees. The average flow velocity is too low to gain energy with a rotor on a profitable way.
The Blue Motion Energy marine turbine however uses a patented system of seawalls placed radial around the vertically mounted rotor, this way it is possible to funnel the current and significantly increase the velocity independent of the direction of the current.

This way the Blue Motion Energy marine turbine can increase the efficiency of the marine turbine system to 70 percent and generate 20 MW average and 60 MW maximum. The marine turbines will be placed at a distance of 20 km from the coast. They provide a capacity equal to 20 large windmills. The investment in a marine turbine is significantly lower than the investment for 20 windmills. A marine turbine also takes up less space.

If the plants will be built further from the coast it is possible to built much larger power plants. At larger sea depth much larger rotors can be applied. This ability can rise up to 1000 MW max.

The world is increasingly looking to the ocean as a power source and with this innovative system we come closer to realizing this opportunity.

It's my impression that they energize one coil,
no other load but the coil during the energizing,
the energized coil sits on a core that gets magnetized,
close by there is another coil on a similar core,
the second core gets magnetized for free (more or less),
the current energizing the first coil gets interrupted,
you get a spike from both coils,
the spike from the second coil is for free.

Is this real?

If there is enough energy in WiFi for this  then what is it doing to our

A round of applause for California! In an effort to trim statewide emissions by 1/3 by 2020, the state of California recently adopted CALGREEN, the first mandatory state-wide green building code in the country. The code was unanimously passed by the California Building Standards Commission and will take effect on January 1st, 2011. The building codes cover everything from construction waste recycling to indoor air quality standards.

I wanted to share with you our updates regarding our rail and road systems.

In December 2009, Innowattech Ltd., achieved a breakthrough by conducting the world's first energy harvesting small pilot project on railways in Lod City, Israel, coordinated by the Israeli Railways company.

The results of this small pilot project support Innowattech's electricity generation model of the rail system.

In addition, in January 2010, Innowattech Ltd., conducted a small demonstration project using an industrial implementation method on Road 75 in Haifa City, Israel. This method involves using precast concrete slabs in which the generators were embedded prior to arrival to the project site. The slabs are placed under the top layer of the road to ensure fast and correct placement of the generators under the surface

We have often been introduced to the car of tomorrow, but one company
has now created a car with the future in mind. But it is about far more
than just a car, it’s about a business model that is challenging the
very architecture of the auto industry.

Riversimple’s network electric car is a hydrogen fuel cell powered car,
with unique technologies that enable it to run on a 6kW fuel cell, with
a fuel consumption equivalent to 300 miles per gallon and greenhouse gas
emissions at 30g per km, well-to-wheel - less than a third of that from
the most efficient petrol-engine cars currently available.

It also has the potential to be 10 times cleaner still if the hydrogen
is produced from renewable energy.

Open source

But what is extraordinary about Riversimple is that their business model
is trying to move away from the current auto industry practice that has
left us with the inefficient, one-size-fits-all car.

The first departure from the conventional business plan is that the
designs of the car will be released under an open source licence. This
allows people to freely build on ideas and designs, speeding up
innovation and enabling technologies to be quickly improved, meeting the
needs of people rather than markets.

My returning guest on the PROGRESSIVE TECHNOLOGY HOUR was the famous John
Hutchison.

John is a self-taught scientist who reports to have accidentally stumbled
onto a collection of phenomena known as the "Hutchison Effect" during
attempts to study the longitudinal waves of Nikola Tesla back in 1979. Some
of the effects produced include levitation of heavy objects, metal samples
turned transparent, metals turned into jelly, and the spontaneous fracturing
of metals. The Hutchison Effect has been well documented both on film and
videotape, and has been witnessed many times by numerous credentialed
scientists and engineers. His findings have been televised in the U.S.,
Japan, and Canada.

I talked to John about his latest work with ZPE Power Cells. Imagine a
battery that NEVER dies! This is the incedible breakthrough John is
currently working on.
