RAW Artist lineup

Known as RAW: natural born artists - a nationwide organization for artists, by artists, that hosts eclectic monthly art showcases in more than 60 major cities across the country, and growing. RAW first came to D.C. in 2012 and is happy to be a thriving resource to the D.C. metropolitan art community more than 2 years later. RAW aims to provide a platform for local independent and emerging artists in all genres, to network and connect with one another, gain more exposure, and find a new audience.

With over 40 artists all under one roof at Penn Social you will most definitely find something to admire from dance to fashion shows. The unique approach to hand picking the artists and in very diverse media RAW is sure to impress you with the caliber of artists in DC.

Take a look at Sergio, DC RAW artist, who works mostly with traditional mediums and gets his inspiration from everywhere - to the movies he watches with his kids, to comic books and just the thought of becoming a better artist. His work is vibrant, colorful and engaging.

Or, Billie Jean Bowties and Designs, another RAW participant and local city winner for accessories designer of the year (congratulations!) will leave you with a new appreciation for print, color and bow-ties. Her African culture inspires her to use a popular African Print called "Ankara" - a mix of colors, prints and shapes. These unexpected patterns transform into unique accessories.

Natalie Jean - a talented singer/songwriter worked hard on her first CD entitled, Obsession which she released in April of 2013. She will be performing her new tunes live for DC fans at RAW.

Advanced tickets are $15 and can be purchased through an artist to support their place in the show at.
