Raw Foods Class begins Sunday

Raw Food Central at 446 Broad Street in Windsor begins a nine-week series of raw food education and demonstration lifestyle classes this Sunday, February 17th, at 3:00pm. The first class costs just $1, but the full course of nine weekly classes costs $650 for indivduals and an additional $300 for a spouses or other person living in same household as the primary registrant, which includes books, food and other materials. Alumni are allowed to retake classes as many times as they wish for free, paying just a $10 food fee for each class they retake.

These classes, for groups of six or more, teach and demonstrate a well rounded approach to a raw diet and lifestyle. Each class runs between 3 to 4 hours depending on the topic and meals demonstrated, and will include raw recipe demonstrations, food sampling, personal support, recipe book, reference book, workbook, video series, discussion, and plenty of Q & A.

Meals prepared in the classes are developed from the over 500 raw recipes that Raw Food Central offers and students get to eat the meals they see prepared and help to prepare. The classes are designed to be as much fun as they are educational, showing how easy eating raw food can be even in midwinter in Connecticut.

They also offer phone consultation about a raw foods lifestyle at $90 per hour, and sell Food Preparation Equipment (for blending, juicing, drying, distilling, and other processing) and raw foods.
