Ravens beat Patriots 28 to 13 (Photos)

Tonight was not a good night for Tom Brady, The New England Patriots or New England area football fans. The Pats went down in defeat to a dominant Baltimore Ravens team, ending their season and a chance to play in Superbowl 47.

This is the first time the Patriots have lost a conference championship game on home turf and the first time they have witnessed an opponent celebrate a trip to the Super Bowl at Gillette Stadium, their home field, according to Boston.com

Ravens will take on 49'ers in Superbowl 47

In two weeks, The Baltimore Ravens will face the San Francisco 49'ers in the biggest game of the year, Superbowl 47. Though the Patriots made it to last year's Superbowl, beating the Ravens in the AFC championship game, the tables were turned this year as the Ravens brought their game faces to Foxboro.

The Patriots had several opportunities to surge ahead but just did not seem to have the energy to push back the powerful Raven team. Baltimore opened up the game in the second half and there was no turning back.

The Patriots only scored 13 points in this game, which was a major disappointment for fans who braved the cold weather at Gillette Stadium in hopes that Brady and his teammates could pull off a victory in this all important AFC Championship game.

However, victory was not to as the New England Patriots and their fans ended the season on a cold day at home in Foxboro looking tired and outmatched by the powerful team from Baltimore. It appears that the best team today won the game and are headed to New Orleans for the Superbowl.
