During NYFW, Raul Peñaranda presented his Fall Ready-to-wear 2013 collection at The Hudson Bond in Midtown Manhattan. The collection is comprised of bright floral prints, black sheer fabrics, metallic tones, and black stripes. It exudes elegance, femininity, fearlessness, and sophistication. The dresses are truly expressionistic.
Highlights included a black striped and sheer sleeveless long dress, a copper and black sheer blended long sleeved short dress, a black sheer and gold blended long sleeved short dress, and a floral print long dress with black tulle trimming. The looks were classy with an accent of intrigue.
Shortly after, Jorge Vega Umana presented his Fall 2013 collection at the Alvin Ailey Studios in Midtown Manhattan. The collection is called Xalteva, which symbolizes “being at the top,” and has been designed for the confident woman who is at the top of her game. She knows how to dress for the board room and then how to change for an elegant evening affair.
The collection is beautiful and includes a midnight wool crepe dress accented with a sand belt, a strapless what lace over black chiffon flared dress, a strapless crimson silk crepe gown with a cape, and a cream lace drop waisted gown with pleated accents. It was nothing short of delicate splendor.
What a vibrant set of presentations!
