What says Baltimore? Rats of course! They are everywhere in the city, just like talented musicians. This has been the theme two years running of one of the city's most underground music festivals--RATSCAPE. The event is July 19, 20 and 21 at the practice/recording studio, Hour Haus, in the Station North Arts and Entertainment district.
The event is super cheap! Only $5 per day? Are you kidding me? Also, the event is BYOB. That's good for the cost conscious as well. Three days of music and over 45 bands for a great total of $15 is pretty much unheard of in the realm of music festival. But we are talking about Baltimore here. Life is hard sometimes. But most kids could get into at least one day of this show from couch cushion change.
Below is the lineup for each day, as of today. Of course, this list is subject to change and the running order has not been set, but watch this space for more details. There should also be vendors, but I don't have that information yet. I will have more information on each band, as well as an interview with the founders of this ratty little fest in the coming weeks. You may also want to follow the Facebook event page for up to the minute announcements.
