Ratings good for B&B and GH. CBS daytime keeps growing

Ratings for the week of May 19th were very good for B&B and GH. They both gained viewers, while Y&R and DOOL lost some. The placement remains the same with Y&R way ahead in first place.

1. Y&R 4,341,000 (-58,000/-181,000)
2. B&B 3,577,000 (+89,000/+163,000)
3. GH 2,909,000 (+113,000/+400,000)
4. DAYS 2,407,000 (-14,000/-106,000)

Households
1. Y&R 3.2/11 (same/-.1)
2. B&B 2.6/9 (+.1/+.1)
3. GH 2.2/8 (same/+.3)
4. DAYS 1.8/6 (same/-.1)

Meanwhile according to Errol Lewis of Soap Opera Network, CBS Daytime has posted overall year-to-year growth in total viewers, while also posting 2014 May Sweep increases in viewers and in the key sales demos compared to the 2013 May Sweeps period.

“The Young and the Restless” was up 8% (5.24m from 4.82m) and “The Bold and the Beautiful” was up 10% (3.89m from 3.52m).
