The front office of LA KISS made some drastic changes to the teams roster today. Head Coach Bob McMillen, said it all in the post game press conference after KISS lost to the visiting Spokane Shock, that things would be changing quickly if the team continued to play like they have been playing.

That treat became reality as the team lost its 5th game in a row to the Cleveland Gladiators on Saturday, and today spelled the end for the teams starting quarterback. J.J. Raterink, has been traded by the team for the No. 3 claim spot and future considerations to the Jacksonville Sharks. Jacksonville then turns and sends Raterink to the Iowa Barnstormers in exchange for defensive tackle James McClinton.

Raterink (6-2, 210, Wyoming) returns to Iowa via Jacksonville in the trade, where he spent the previous two seasons as a starter. In eight games with the KISS this season, the fifth-year pro has completed 168-of-306 passes for 1,723 yards and 26 touchdowns with a League-high 16 interceptions. His finest season to date came as a member of the Barnstormers in 2012, when he set single-season franchise records with 4,870 passing yards and 93 touchdowns to just nine interceptions.
