Country super group Rascal Flatts and Big Machine Records will release a brand new single, titled "Banjo," to country radio today, for impact on the 17th of January. This song will be the first from their next album, which is due out this spring.
The guys will be road testing the track when they start their winter "Thaw Out 2012" tour later this week. The tour kicks off in Charleston, West Virginia, at the Charleston Civic Center Coliseum, with opening acts Sara Evans and Hunter Hayes.
The last studio album from Rascal Flatts, Nothing Like This, was released on Big Machine Records in the fall of 2010, debuting at No. 1 on the Country album sales chart. The group is one of only four country acts to debut six consecutive studio albums at No. 1. Since their debut back in 2000, Rascal Flatts has sold over 20 million albums and 25 million digital downloads with 13 No. 1 singles.
