Rascal Flatts fans got the chance to see the group more than once on the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday night. The group won a buckle award for the Collaborative video of the year with Justin Bieber, but they had a moment on stage all to themselves when they performed ‘I Won’t Let Go.’
The single a strong vocal performance had the fans at the Bridgestone Arena screaming from the minute they heard the first note. The single, a ballad to being the best of friends under difficult circumstances, was well received by the live audience as well as at home.
The stage, a simple set up with the three entertainers who are part of Rascal Flatts, was well lit with three simple stools. Letting the vocals do all the work, the musicians gave everyone a strong yet simple performance. The fifth performance of the evening, there were a dozen different acts who went on stage for the chance to sing for their fans on the live show.
The CMT Music Awards were held in Nashville, Tennessee. Hosted by Kid Rock, it was a celebration of country music. Said to be the biggest party in Nashville, the entertainers came together to share a few songs, pick up a few awards and thank their fans for the continued support.
The beginning of a long weekend in Nashville, the Country Music Festival is the biggest outdoor venue of country music in the area and it is held downtown on several stages.
