Why was Yung Teddy killed? His final tweets suggest trouble to come.
Rapper Yung Teddy, born Justin Mitchell, was shot to death on the night of January 2, 2012. Yung Teddy was 23 years old.
Yung Teddy was killed in the Atlanta suburb of Austell. Police responded to a report of shots fired, and found the musician dead.
The police are seeking two male suspects, both around the same age as Yung Teddy.
It's not clear why Yung Teddy was killed. Some of his final tweets, posted on the day of his death, suggested that he knew he was in somebody's crosshairs. It's not clear, though, if we're just reading into these last tweets in light of his subsequent murder. However, one of the tweets contained a screenshot of a fairly explicit death threat.
