Police in Austin, Texas arrested Rapper Tyler, “The Creator,” on March 15 on the grounds that he incited a riot during a concert at the South By Southwest music festival earlier this week.

A spokesperson for the Travis County Sheriff's Office said that Tyler was taken into custody at the Austin-Bergstrom Airport, according to Fox News.

According to police, Tylor, 23, “incited a large crowd of fans at the annual music conference and festival to push their way past venue employees controlling access to a Thursday show that was already at full capacity.”

According to court papers from police on the scene, Tyler - who’s credited with being the founding member of the Los Angeles based hip-hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, often abbreviated to OFWGKTA, a.k.a. Odd Future - twice called during the show for fans to push their way into the concert.

A bartender at South By Southwest reportedly had to “to protect a woman from injury” during the onslaught of human bodies pushing their way into the show.

The BBC reported that cops on the scene heard Tyler yell to the crowd, "All y'all outside the gates, y'all push through," which is when the crowd waiting outside the gate to the venue trying pushing their way inside.

Shortly afterwards, Tyler again yelled to the waiting crowd, "Y'all push through, get in, come on," and cussed out the security staff working the door before leaving the stage.

Police have a video showing fans pushing their way into the show.

This isn’t the first time Tyler has had issues with authorities.

Tyler and members of the Odd Future collective were denied a visa to travel to New Zealand in February after officials there said they were a potential "public threat" because of past troubles, "including incidents at past performances in which they have incited violence."

They pointed to a 2011 incident in which police were called to a comic book store in Boston where fans became unruly.

If found guilty of misdemeanor inciting to riot, Tyler could be fined up to $4,000 and face up to one year in prison.

Tyler's bail was set at $3,500.
