Rapper Too Short was arrested for DUI and felony narcotics possession after attempting to flee, reported TMZ on March 20. Allegedly, Todd Anthony Shaw, aka Too Short, was pulled over for a traffic violation. Looking as if he may be under the influence, police tried to administer a breathalyzer test, but Shaw took off running. Eventually, police were able to nab the 46-year-old rapper. In addition, supposedly Too Short tried to "dump narcotics in the back of the cruiser."
The rapper received backlash for a video where he gives "fatherly advice" to teenage boys on how to get girls. Many felt the advice was nothing more than tips on sexual assault. "When I got on camera I was in $hort mode & had a lapse of judgement. I would never advise a child or young man to do these things . . . It's not how I get down," he tweeted in response.
Too Short, whose name often appears with a dollar sign, as in Too $hort, debuted his 19th studio album, "No Trespassing," in Feb. 2012. "Too Short wasn't really banished to the underground by the major labels. It's more like he found a more welcoming home there, one where he could release pimp-slap hip-hop that lives up to the name of his underground imprint, Dangerous Music. 'No Trespassing' is filled with it...," reports All Music who gave the album 4 1/2 stars out of 5.
Now that Rapper Too Short was arrested, his fans will have to follow him on Twitter to see if he tweets an update.
