Rapper Tone Loc collapses on stage just as he finished a song

Rapper Tone Loc collapsed on stage during his appearance in Iowa this weekend. He went down just after finishing a song. Tone Loc, who has also appeared in movies, has collapsed a couple of times in the past, according to ABC News on Sunday, March 17, 2013.

The rapper's real name is Anthony T. Smith and he's known for his 80s hits, “Funky Cold Medina” and “Wild Thing.” Tone was performing in a concert on a bridge in downtown Des Moines when he just went down.

What happened to Tone remains a mystery today as he is not registered in any area hospitals and his camp hasn't returned any calls requesting information. There is a chance he is registered in a medical center under an assumed name for privacy purposes.

This wasn't the first time Loc went down on stage. Back in 2009 he had a seizure after getting overheated while doing a concert in Florida. He also collapsed in 1995 while at a Lakers game, but no reason for that episode was ever released to the media.

You may remember this rapper from “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” with Jim Carrey and “Heat” with Al Pacino. He's also been in a few television shows and has lent his voice to animated characters for movies.
