The Yahoo News reported on March 18, 2013, that rapper Tone Loc collapsed on stage during a weekend performance in a Saturday night concert on a downtown Des Moines bridge, Lowa.

Loc, whose real name is Anthony T. Smith, denied to be hospitalized after collapsing.

His collapse led to an abrupt ending of the concert. Three employees of the Des Moines Register who were present at the show made the fans vacate the place several minutes after Loc collapsed.

Police Sgt. Steve Woody stated that paramedics responded immediately after Loc collapsed; however, the 47-year-old rapper refused to be hospitalized.

Loc's representative did not answer to messages Sunday, thus no one knew the reason for his collapse.

According to the reports, it wasn't the first time that the Loc, who is best known for his 1980s hits "Funky Cold Medina" and "Wild Thing," collapsed on stage.

In the year 2009, while performing in the concert in Pensacola, Fla, he collapsed and suffered a seizure. At that time, the authorities gave the reason of his being apparently overheated.
