At a President Obama pre-inauguration event that was held at a concert hall last night in Washington, D.C., a rapper, known as Lupe Fiasco was taken off stage as the lights dimmed due to his rant about President Obama’s policies.
The Daily Caller reported that StartUp Rock On, the concert’s organizers, claimed shortly after 2:00 a.m. Monday that Lupe “left the stage earlier than we had planned…but Lupe Fiasco was not ‘kicked off stage’ for an ‘anti-Obama rant.”
In watching the video, contrary to what the concert organizers said, it appears that Fiasco was shut down while singing his anti-Obama song as the lights dimmed and security went on stage after President Obama supporters grew annoyed.
The news first broke when Josh Rogin, Staff Writer for the The Cable, Foreign Policy magazine tweeted, “Lupe Fiasco just got thrown off stage here at the Hamilton Live after he went on an anti-Obama diatribe mid set.”
While the Fiasco incident is spreading among news organizations, his fans and supporters today were lending their support albeit the outrage of some Obama supporters who were not shy on how they felt about Mr. Fiasco.
“I applaud you Lupe Fiasco for what you did. Expressing yourself and telling it like it is. While most people forget the inactions of Barry Soteo(Obamas real name) during his last presidency, you display the truth for everyone to see and listen. You are an inspiration to myself and others alike that are disgusted with what our country has become. Keep fighting the good fight and we will always support you,” said Jose Sandoval.
Liberal Obama supporters sounded off:
Malik Johnson said, “So you perform anti obama songs in this important time. Lupe Fiasco you're an absolute Dog's Skidmark!! Have a nice day .... !!”
Another liberal Frisco Aldana said, “So this is how class-less slugs get some publicity. Free speech is allowed friend, however; moronic speech for the public to suffer is not. Way to go on MLK's Day man. I'm sure Fox News will hire your dumb a*s as a pundit. Maybe a more frequent guest on Bill O'reilly? Ghetto a*s-A*shole.”
Mr. Fiasco has posted no comment about the incident as of this reporting.
