The new feature length documentary, “Time is Illmatic,” examines the factors that led Nas to create one of the most iconic rap records of all time. The new documentary will be shown during The Tribeca Film Festival in NYC.

Hennessy salutes Nas and his accomplishments in music, film and philanthropy. Nas has never turned away from a challenge, this is what led Hennessy to select him as the face of the brand’s award-winning “Never stop. Never settle.” campaign in 2013 and continue to work with the legend in 2014.

Nas’ story is one that needed to be told. By providing an inside look at his tireless pursuit of excellence we hope we will inspire others in their own pursuits for greatness during their journey towards self-identity. With the release of the documentary, “Time is Illmatic,” we celebrate the grit, talent and determination that produced one of the crowning musical achievements of all time, and toast Nas as he continues to pursue greater levels of success in all his endeavors, from music to fashion to art.

Here are some thoughts from Eric Parker and One9 (Documentary Producers)

• "It's truly an honor and a privilege to share the story of Illmatic. His story has become our story."

• "We are inspired by Nas' drive to represent something greater than himself and his commitment to be a truth-teller in everything he stands for."

• "We hope the film inspires a new generation to approach life with the same determination Nas carries with him every day and that it will illuminate the endless possibilities when people push the limits of their potential."
