According to a report from MediaTakeOut.com on Friday, Feb. 1, rapper Lil Wayne is showing off a new hairdo.
Having been adorned with locks of dreadlocks for several years now during his rise in the music industry, Wayne, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was spotted in a photo that revealed he has indeed cut his hair down.
In other news, this Sunday’s Super Bowl XLVII is taking place in Lil Wayne’s native New Orleans.
It goes without saying that Lil Wayne is around town for the event, and is even taking part in some of the pre-game festivities.
Wayne performed at Thursday night’s EA Madden Bowl, an event that is typically centered around bringing in notable NFL luminaries for a little head to head action.
The opening act was Big Boi of Outkast fame but the crowd seemed to be anticipating Wayne’s performance.
Wayne is also scheduled for a performance on Saturday’s GQ party before the San Francisco 49ers play the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
