Fox news is reporting that Australian born rapper Iggy Azalea fell off the stage during an MTV Video Music Awards benefit concert on Saturday. Azalea apparently fell while performing her hit song “Fancy.”
Azalea appeared unharmed after the fall and continued with her performance. She even posted a video of the fall on InstaGram and wrote in the caption: "I know I laughed."
The MTV VMA awards are scheduled to air Sunday night and Azalea is up for seven awards.
Tori Kelly and Sam Smith also performed at the concert benefiting Lifebeat — Music Fights HIV/AIDS.
Azalea gained popularity this year with the release of her new album “The New Classic.” The album debuted on several charts. Her single “Fancy” reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Azalea became the fourth solo female rapper to top the Hot 100 chart. Additionally, Azalea was featured on Ariana Grande’s single, “Problem” which also made it to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Azalea has also passed rapper Lil’ Kim with the longest leading number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
