Rapper Doe B. was shot and killed at an Alabama bar this weekend, he was an up and coming star on the rap scene. The shooting at the bar, which is only about a half-mile from Alabama State, left two people dead and six others injured, according to ABC News on Dec. 29.
The two dead were identified by the police as the rapper Doe. B, whose real name is Glen Thomas. The other victim, Kimberly Johnson, 21, was pronounced dead on the scene. Doe B. was 22-years-old and at the beginning of a promising career.
The rapper was taken to Baptist Medical Center South and died shortly after he arrived. Doe B. wasn’t in the bar performing or promoting his music at the time he was shot, reports his manager DJ Frank White.
The shooting happened at about 1 a.m. at the Centennial Hill Bar and Grill, which was closed down by the city after this shooting incident this weekend. Montgomery Mayor Todd Strange claims that this club “poses an imminent threat to the public’s safety.”
Rapper Doe B. had two young children and another baby on the way. The six injured victims in this shooting are in area hospitals and all are listed as “stable,” reports ABC News today.
