Rapper Doe B has died after being shot in his hometown of Montgomery, Alabama. On Dec. 28, MTV confirmed the sad news, adding that the Grand Hustle rapper was one of two people killed in the shooting. The second victim, 21-year-old Kimberle Johnson was pronounced dead when emergency personnel arrived on the scene. The scene was Montgomery's Centennial Bar and Grill and the shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m.
"On behalf of Doe B's management i would like to thank all of his fans and say Rest in Peace my brother Glenn Thomas aka @CBMDOEB," read the confirmation message from Doe B's Twitter account.
Rapper Doe B was sort of up and coming, doing tons of collaborations recently and getting his name out there on major records. Details about the shooting have not been released. It's unclear whether or not Doe B was the intended target or if this was a random shooting. It's also unclear whether or not Kimberle Johnson was with Doe B or if she was just another bar customer who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
