"Celebrity Wife Swap" features a switch between the households of Coolio and Mark McGrath in the episode debuting on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, on ABC Television Network, according to a Feb. 26 press release from ABC Television Network. This is the second episode of the second season of the reality show, which premiered with a switch between reality TV moms Kate Gosselin and Kendra Wilkinson. In "Celebrity Wife Swap," two mothers of celebrity families, trade places for a week. The households have opposing values and lifestyles. They trade households and responsibilities, but not bedrooms.
This week sees a switch between the households of Grammy winning rapper Coolio and rocker Mark McGrath.
Coolio lives with his girlfriend, Mimi, and her three children, including Majaniek (14), Javante (10) and Tariq (5). The family lives in a suburban community in Las Vegas. When he's not touring or hanging out with friends, Coolio spends the majority of his time sleeping or relaxing at home. Mimi is a self sufficient woman who cares for the home and three children and also works as a bartender and an exotic dancer.
Mark McGrath, who is perhaps best known as the front man of the '90s rock band Sugar Ray, and his wife, Carin, are parents to two-year-old twins Lydon and Hartley. Their Los Angeles household is helped by full time nanny a maid and Carin's parents.
When Mimi arrives at the McGrath household she discovers that the twins have complete control of the household and that Mark hovers around, "helicopter parenting."
When Carin arrives in Las Vegas, she finds that Coolio is standoffish, spending the day sleeping or hanging out with friends. He spends little of his time with the kids or helping with household chores.
After spending the first part of the week abiding by the household rules, the wives get to implement their own rules. After the week is over, the couples meet and offer frank appraisals and observations of the other household.
The "Celebrity Wife Swap" episode featuring Kate Gosselin and Kendra Wilkinson premiered on Feb 26, 2013. The episode will encore on Saturday, March 16, 2013 (8-9 p.m. ET) on ABC Television Network.
