Ransomville Speedway, on Braley Rd. in Niagara County, will be presenting two special nights of racing in the next few days, beginning with the return of the Patriot Sprint Tour on Friday, August 1st. Next Tuesday, August 5th, the track will host the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds for the 30th annual Alex Friesen SummerNationals.
The Patriot Sprint Tour first appeared at Ransomville Speedway in June, with Jared Zimbardi holding off Stewart Friesen for the win. Zimbardi is the current points leader in the series, which runs in the northeast and Canada.
Gates will open at 5 p.m., with racing scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. The race card will also feature the sportsman, street stock, novice sportsman and 4-banger classes.
The SummerNationals has been a fixture at Ransomville Speedway for three decades, but this season marks a return to the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modified schedule. Erick Rudolph won the 358-modified race in 2013.
Gates for the event open at 4:30 p.m., with racing scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. Also on the race card: the sportsman and street stock classes.
