Ranked Teams come to League of Legends for Season Two

League of Legends will be rolling out ranked teams with Season Two, allowing players to create a permanent, named group to play with in 3v3 and 5v5. These ranked teams will take the place of arranged 3v3 and 5v5 matchmaking, and will come with their own unique name, tag, and Elo rating.

Ranked teams will be led by a captain who will be able to invite and remove members, and the team can queue up with any 5 or 3 members of the team.

Premade, arranged team ranked ratings will be given a complete reset come Season Two, giving additional incentive for players who want to start the season fresh to do so with a team.  Solo/Duo ranked ratings will remain unchanged during this process.

This announcement implies that the teams will work somewhat similar to the World of Warcraft Arena system, where players will be able to have more than the 3 or 5 players on a team and simply select available teammates when the time comes to form a group.

Along with Spectator Mode going into beta, League of Legends Season Two is bringing many of the often requested features and functionality to the playerbase.  Are replays on the way?
