After spending their first nine games of the 2013 NHL season on the road, the New York Rangers made their season debut at the newly renovated Madison Square Garden. However, the luxurious new digs did not translate to good fortune for the Rangers, who fell 2-0 to the Montreal Canadiens.
The Broadway Blueshirts were 0-for-5 on the power play, and were blocked on 28 shots. The loss drops the Rangers to 3-7 on the early season, and will face the crosstown rival Islanders Tuesday night. Enjoy the slideshow above recapping the game.
