Ranger Scratch’s birthday is this Saturday, March 2, 2013 at ZooAmerica in Hershey. He is inviting kids of all ages to join him (moms and dads too) for his explorer-themed celebration from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Usually visitors are mainly using their eyes and ears when visiting the zoo. On this day Ranger Scratch asks everyone to explore the zoo using all five of their senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste).
Events going on as part of this celebration are:
- Scavenger hunt
- An explorer craft
- Games
- Storytime
- Close-up animal encounters
There will be cupcakes for everyone at the party –and don’t forget to sign Ranger Scratch’s birthday card! Parents will want to bring their cameras to get pictures of their kids with Ranger Scratch and his Hershey Product Character friends.
An added bonus is that anyone who completes the scavenger hunt will be entered to win prizes including a choice of either a Zoo behind-the-scenes After Hours Tour or Early Bird Tour; four (4) tickets to Springtime in the Park at Hersheypark ; or four (4) tickets to Super WHY Live! at Hershey Theatre.
Springtime in the Park runs March 29-31, April 6-7, and April 13-14, 2013. Super WHY Live! will be at Hershey Theatre on May 3, 2013.
