The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council and various offshoots have scheduled four days of meetings between Monday, Oct. 7 and Thursday, Oct. 10. The meetings take place at the Courtyard Philadelphia Downtown, 21 N. Juniper St., Philadelphia, PA 19107-1901, (215) 496-3200.

On Monday, the council's Executive Committee and the Mackerel, Squid, Butterfish Committee meet.
The full council meets the next three days. The busy docket includes everything from determining dogfish harvest specifications to the monkfish management plan to an update on the Atlantic Wind Connection Project, river herring/shad management and discussion of data collection for the surfclam and ocean quahog fisheries.
The council plans to finalize summer flounder, scup, black sea bass and bluefish management measures for 2014 and 2015 (only 2014 for bluefish).
It will also receive a variety of reports and discuss the bluefin tuna rule amendments being considered.
