Randy Travis’s stroke is among the top country music news items for 2013 and as the country music icon continues on his road to recovery his CD “Influences Vol. 1: The Man I Am” remains on the “must have list” for country music fans.
The Canyon 106.7 reported on Dec. 27 that news of Randy Travis’s life threatening stoke and continued recovery is the number two story in country music for 2013. Fans of the award-winning country and gospel singer were happy to see Travis star in the Lifetime movie “Christmas on the Bayou” this past holiday season.
Positive news of Randy Travis’s continued rehab has fans optimistic that he will return to the stage sometime in the future. Travis’s fiancée Mary Boeugher remains by his side, as she has been since the singer became ill earlier this year and was diagnosed with presumptive cardiomyopathy. Travis underwent surgery for LVAD placement and suffered a post-op stroke.
