Randy Quaid has allegedly been denied his request for permanent residency in Canada according to a report by Inquisitr.com on Jan. 27. However, the troubled actor will have the chance to appeal to the federal court regarding the decision in the future. An anonymous Canadian immigration department official stated that Quad's request had been denied on Saturday. The Associated Press stated that nothing official has been publicly validated in regards to Quad's request.
The federal Refugee Protection Division has also refused to allow the actor to restore a claim he had previously filed that alleged that he and his wife were the target of supposed Hollywood "star-whackers." Consequently, the Quaids have appealed to the Federal Court stating that their lives are nevertheless in danger.
A judicial review statement that the couple submitted was obtained by CBC News this week that stated:
"Organized crime and its victims are serious issues and cannot be tossed off until the claim is heard. The refugee claims should remain intact as should Evi and Randy Quaid's heads remain attached to their necks and it is their firm belief that their lives are at stake and being racketeered on."
The co-star of The "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" movie and his wife have become anxious to become Canadian citizens since they believe sinister individuals were behind the deaths of their friends David Carradine and Heath Ledger. The Quaids believe that lawyers and agents were determined to kill famous actors and Ledger and Carradine died under mysterious circumstances. Evi Quaid's father was born in Canada and that gives her Canadian citizenship and also the capability to sponsor her husband.
In the United States, the couple still face misdemeanor and felony burglary counts for supposedly moving back into and vandalizing a house they once owned in 2009 in Santa Barbara, Calif. They both are wanted on $500,000 bench warrants. Neither of them have showed up in court for any hearings since the criminal charges were filed shortly before they fled to Canada.
