Randy Pitchford compliments the PS4, leaves fans hoping for ‘Borderlands 3' (Photos)

After the Playstation 4 announcement, Randy Pitchford congratulated Sony yesterday on the reveal and stated that he was, “Very pleased with the commitment to 8gb of GDDR5 memory. Other specs are beautiful too.” As the President of Gearbox Software, Pitchford openly showing his support of and approval to the Playstation 4 has naturally left gamers thinking about a next-gen “Borderlands” title utilizing the advanced PS4 system specs.

After leaving the comment on his Twitter Account, Pitchford soon received numerous fan responses from gamers dreaming of “Borderlands 3” on Sony’s next Playstation. Considering there is still much content left to develop for “Borderlands 2,” it’s a bit early players to be getting excited about the next “Borderlands” game. However, it is good to hear that the developer is pleased with what the Playstation 4 will be capable of so that the prospect of a next-generation follow up to “Borderlands 2” seems likely.

Borderlands 2” is out now for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC/Mac.
