Randy Orton is lobbying for the WWE to induct Arn Anderson into the HOF

Current world heavyweight champion Randy Orton has begun a public campaign lobbying for the WWE to induct former 4 Horsemen member Arn Anderson into the WWE HOF. Orton credits Arn for helping his career in addition to his legendary accomplishments and believes that Arn is definitely worthy of the induction. On Saturday, Orton made the following comments via his Twitter page:

"If Arn Anderson isn't in the HOF next year I'll go on strike. Well maybe not go on strike, but damn it, he's earned it. Anyone else agree?  He has tutored me thru out my career and speaking of the punt, his idea 100%"

Anderson began wrestling in the early 80's but didn't gain notoriety until heading to the Mid-Atlantic territory and teaming up with Ole Anderson to reform the Minnesota Wrecking Crew. By 1985 the Andersons had formed the 4 Horsemen with Ric Flair and Tully Blanchard. Arn would go on to hold numerous titles throughout his career as a singles competitor and a tag-team wrestler. Anderson's career was cut short due to a serious neck injury and other lingering injuries. Anderson officially retired in 1997 and is currently an agent for the WWE.

Orton's comments echo what many of us having been saying for years. Anderson was a great wrestler who deserves praise and recognition for his incredible career. An induction into the WWE HOF should have happened already. Anderson also wrestled briefly in the WWF as a tag-team with Tully Blanchard in the late 80's. They were called the Brain Busters and managed by Bobby Heenan. Anderson has the praise and respect from his peers and the younger wrestlers of this era.
