Randy Jackson is an accomplished musician, a big name in the music business and an American Idol judge, but even all that didn’t prepare him for the death of Whitney Houston. Talking about the business of music on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, Jackson shared how sad it is to lose the legendary Whitney Houston.
"Just really, really sad. I think everybody was shocked. I think the whole town was shocked. Ryan Seacrest and I were actually heading to Clive Davis' party when we heard the news. We were like Party? Are you kidding me,” said Randy Jackson talking to Ellen DeGeneres on the show. “How can you?”
While Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest didn’t attend, apparently it didn’t bother other entertainers as the party when on anyway with people in attendance like Kim Kardashian and Miranda Lambert.
As one of the biggest voices of the generation has been silenced, Randy Jackson summed up the death of Whitney Houston in a simple statement that is on everyone’s heart. “It’s just sad.”
