Random House exec to hold discussion on Google books settlement

Richard Sarnoff, co-chairman of Random House and the  Association of American Publishers (AAP), will speak at a discussion on the Google books settlement at an event hosted by the Bookbinders' Guild of America in New York on September 8th, 2009.

This event will include a cocktail hour beginning at 5:30pm, followed by the program at 6:30pm. The cost for this event is $50 for members, and $60 for non-members, and will take place at the New York offices of Random House at 1745 Broadway.

September 8th at 10:00am EST is the deadline for objections and amicus briefs filed against the settlement, however, the extended opt-out deadline expired yesterday.
