The 2016 Presidential election is already shaping up to be interesting. According to CBS News on Saturday, Senator Rand Paul has issued a statement that the events of Benghazi should disqualify Hillary Clinton from serving as President. The investigation into the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, is beginning to ramp up, and it could reach a heated stage during the primaries or the election itself.
There are other interesting candidates on the outskirts of the upcoming presidential race, but the field has not narrowed enough to make any predictions. At the onset, it was thought that Hillary Clinton was practically unstoppable, but her popularity has waned a bit. Her recent book tour drew a lot of criticism because of her statements that she and former president Bill Clinton were “dead broke” when they left the White House.
Senator Paul has also said that Clinton’s own husband would have fired her when he was president. CNN carried that story on Saturday. Clinton has responded to Rand Paul’s constant attacks by stating that he could talk about whatever he wanted to. As the 2016 election approaches, you can bet that he will.
