Before there was Green Day, there was Rancid. And while the latter never experienced the mainstream success of the former, Rancid over the years carved out a major niche in the punk stratosphere. The group hits House of Blues on Wednesday night in support of its latest effort, thought I'll always be partial to the classic, "...And Out Come the Wolves." That album featured the band's catchiest tunes - "Journey to the End of the East Bay," "You Don't Care Nothin'," etc. - but the band's catalog has been cemented with comparable releases. Anyway, if you're looking to experience something truly punk, I can't recommend enough a visit to the House of Blues on Wednesday.
